With Plastex, you get smart, cost-effective solutions regardless of whether they involve adapting standard profiles in shape, function or material, or if you need a completely unique profile.
Below are a few examples of the types of profiles we can help you develop.
More than standard. Smarter customisations. Typical Plastex.
Standard profiles
U profiles
U profiles are the most common type of profile and are used in most industries for a large number of different applications. There is a wide range of variation in terms of different materials, weights and functions. They are easy to adapt to be fastened by screws, rivets, nails, tape or glue.

L and H profiles
L and H profiles are also common in most industries and come in a wide range of materials, weights and functions. H profiles are very regularly used as attractive, functional joints between different materials. L profiles are commonly used as edge protection.

Sealing profiles
For doors, windows, hatches, etc. Weather stripping is most commonly made of TPE, which today can compete with EPDM and silicon. TPE has a temperature span from -50 to +125 C and is a better choice from an environmental perspective as it is fully recyclable. Moreover, the profiles are available in various hardnesses and colours. Softened PVC is also used for this type of profile.

Rail and gunwale moulding
Available in standard as well as customised profiles. From basic U profile-like gunwale profiles to large, more complicated profiles. Made of softened PVC, which is very UV resistant. Available in various hardnesses and colours. The profile is sometimes supplemented with decorative tubing or stripping to conceal screws or rivets.

Multiple-material profiles
Few companies have as much experience of co-extrusion as Plastex. The technology of using multiple materials in the same profile solves many problems and provides interesting new design possibilities.
Co-extruded profiles can contain and combine various characteristics making it possible to include functions such as pressure seals, lip seals, friction surfacing, hinges, bellows and shock-absorbing in a single profile.
Various material families can be joined together in simple and complex shapes, replace multiple components with one, save time in installation and improve performance. Here, the most important limiting factor is one's imagination.
Lengths of your choice and customised designs are a matter of course.

Cable duct profiles
Concealing and protecting cables is both attractive and serves a purpose. Combine with hinges, multiple compartments, lids, soft flanges, double-sided tape, nail and screw-fastenable in the right package. A sure success for your company.

Decorative profiles - Clicking strip profiles
Decorative profiles - Clicking strip profiles often cover gaps and grooves in various designs. Sometimes removable and flexible, sometimes rigid and locking without being able to be removed. Smart decorations that provide an impression of being the latest model or concealing a harsh edge.

Hoses, pipes, rod profiles
Plastex has broad experience of 3-100 mm pipes and hoses for most applications with material thicknesses of 0.4-15 mm.
With our expert help, you can find widely flexible solutions in construction and material selection. Some examples:
- Opening pipes with a closing click function
- Profiled with integrated fastening points
- Multiple channels in the same pipe
- Pipes with various degrees of reinforcement for the right rigidity
- Flexible pleated pipes customised to your application.
Lengths of your choice and customised designs are a matter of course.
Edge-protection profiles
Plastex is one of few suppliers that manufacture steel-reinforced clip profiles. They are primarily used to protect raw edges after plastic moulding or cut edges in sheet metal.
Clip profiles are one of Plastex's most popular standard products and are kept in stock in lengths of 25 or 50 metres in several different colours.

The design of edge protection varies widely from robust protection for boats, piers and superstructures where the profile can weigh several kg/m to design edge/clamp protection for the furniture industry. Flexibility in the choice of materials and colours makes it easy to find a profile suitable for most applications.
Window/door profiles
Profiles from Plastex are in many windows and doors. Foamed, homogeneous, co-extruded, nail and screw-fastening, with or without sealing, with or without double-sided tape, etc.
Common requirements include light-weight profiles with the right rigidity that are made of material that maintains its performance in these demanding applications both on land and at sea.

Adapted profiles
Special applications
Customisation and specialisation are an important part of the Plastex business concept.
We have 30 years' experience of plastic extrusion. Everything from flexible, electrically conducting plastics to special reinforcement and piping that is wrapped on large bobbins. In our development division, your product can grow from a prototype to a finished product, where we take care of the entire chain: manufacturing, assembly, final inspection, packaging, etc.
In the development process, we are proud of our free-form machine where you can "feel" the results straight away without expensive tool investments. Our slogan "Profiles in Plastic" is not just a play on words, it has a serious connotation. Read more about it under tab 12 in the product catalogue, which can be found in the menu.
