Successful when Plastex and Plastteknik participated in ELMIA Subcontractor 2019

Now Elmia Subcontractor is over for this year and Mikael Burlin, marketing director at Plastex, summarizes the fair:

– Elmia Subcontractor has been very successful for us. We have received a record number of leads this year. It will be extensive work to follow them up, but we will of course do that.

Also at the fair was sister company Plastteknik’s CEO Andreas Wiklund, who is also satisfied with this year’s fair.

– It feels great that there has been so much interest in our joint offer. The response has really been great, says Andreas.
It was also something that many of the stand visitors noticed. Plastex and Plastteknik’s joint offer where string and injection molded parts can be ordered from one and the same supplier.

– Now the tedious work of following up on all our incoming leads remains. But first we want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who visited the stand during the week, they say in unison.

Exciting changes

Change is the only constant. This also applies to us at Plastex. During the first quarter of 2019, we implemented many exciting changes regarding ownership in our companies. We have formed a new group under Plastex Holding, which now includes both our special companies, Plastex (extrusion) and Plastteknik (injection molding). In this way, we have gathered the entire constellation of owners and all the expertise in a common, locally owned company. It will make our companies even stronger and better equipped for the future.

Partners in Plastex Holding will be Plastex CEO, David Burén, CEO of Plastteknik, Andreas Wiklund, purchasing and R&D manager, Michael Johansson, sales/marketing manager, Mikael Burlin and Erik Fahlgren.

In connection with this change, Plastex’s experienced product developer and salesperson, Erik Fahlgren, will change his market-oriented role to instead focus on our board work where he continues to be an important part of Plastex and Plastteknik’s strategic work. Instead, I take over as the new salesperson and marketing manager for Plastex.

Quality – Innovation – Reliability

These three promises have long characterized our work, which is something we are proud of. However, we have a job ahead of us to clarify them for our customers and by clearly living up to them differentiate ourselves from our industry colleagues. It is a work that we have now started and will return to later.

New websites

We have also taken the opportunity to update our websites, Plastex.se and Plastteknik.se. At Plastex.se it is now possible to download our brochure for cable ducts and cutting profiles.

Now you can also read about the properties of different materials and what types of design and product solutions you can create in plastic products (hinges, screw pockets, sliding and spring functions, etc.). Plastteknik.se has a completely new look and contains interesting reading about injection molded parts and customer cases which will hopefully be inspiring to read about.

Everything from one place

For those who need composite products, we can now offer all our customers a complete solution. Simply a One Stop Shop with extrusion, injection molding, finishing and assembly. Successful trade fair for Plastex at the Subcontractor trade fair

Two rewarding and meaningful days at the Subcontractor fair in Jönköping are over for this time and we therefore want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who came by our stand. Mikael Burlin, marketing manager: – We had a lot of activity in our stand. It is always fun to meet new and old customers to talk about interesting cases and the exciting product challenges that our customers face. It was also gratifying that the sister company Plastteknik’s presence in the stand was appreciated among the visitors, who now had a chance to discuss both extrusion and injection molding with specialists from each company. – We got many interesting contacts that we will continue to work with and promise to contact everyone, Burlin concludes with a satisfied smile.

David Burén new CEO of Plastex

David Burén takes over as CEO at Plastex and succeeds Camilla H Lindh. At the same time, David will also continue in his previous role as sales manager.

We at Plastex would like to take the opportunity to thank Camilla for her 15 years in the company and wish her great success in the future.

Plastex celebrates its 15th anniversary! Or was it almost 50?

Plastex’s journey began already around 1970, but it was around the turn of the millennium that it really took off. The first day of September 2002 marks a new start for the company with new owners and new drive. It has now been 15 years and you can safely say that a lot has happened. With the help of fantastic staff, challenging and inspiring customers and competent suppliers, we have during these years taken Plastex to a completely new level. We can proudly say that today we are one of Sweden’s leading companies in the extrusion of thermoplastics.

Regardless of whether it is 15 or almost 50 years in the industry, it should be celebrated!
